Product Manager, C++ Builder

Summary

Join Embarcadero's developer tools product management team as a product manager. You will collaborate with engineering, sales, support, and marketing teams to create user-friendly and valuable developer tools. Success in this role requires translating customer needs into technical solutions, formulating business strategies, and defining product requirements. You will conduct customer interviews, analyze metrics, and perform competitive analysis. Experience working with international teams and hands-on product usage is essential. The role involves evangelizing products through various channels and collaborating with design teams on UI/UX. This is an independent contractor position.

Requirements

• Have experience working with engineering teams to translate customer needs into workable technology solutions that scale operationally
• Be a pragmatic visionary that enjoys interacting with customers and internal stakeholders to formulate business strategies and shape product direction
• Be comfortable with feature and requirements definition, customer interviews and surveys, metrics analysis, and competitive analysis
• Have experience working with international teams that cross multiple time zones
• Be a problem solver, able to think creatively to remove obstacles
• Be hands-on with products, able to install and use what our target users use, putting yourself in their shoes
• Be comfortable evangelizing your products including authoring blogs, technical tutorials, webinars and more
• Have experience working with design teams to translate business requirements and user needs into compelling UI/UX designs and seamless user journeys
• Be comfortable in a highly visible position that will interact at all levels within a major software company
• Have the ability to communicate and influence others

Responsibilities

• Work with international teams across multiple time zones

• Install and use products to understand user experience
• Evangelize products through blogs, technical tutorials, and webinars
• Work with design teams to translate business requirements and user needs into compelling UI/UX designs and seamless user journeys
• Interact at all levels within the company and communicate effectively to influence others

Preferred Qualifications

• Product management, product owner or other software development experience
• Familiarity with the developer tools landscape, including Desktop, web and mobile application development, market trends and industry tools
• Hands-on C++ programming experience
• Project management, release management and/or test management experience
• Experience using tools such as Jira, Confluence, Github and more
