Summary

Join Blue Water Thinking as a Program Manager - Informatics to support a large project at the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA). This role requires expertise in managing IT projects, full systems development life cycle, and enterprise-wide network engineering. The successful candidate will be well-versed in SAFe’s Lean Agile principles and practices.

Requirements

• Master’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration, or a related field
• Minimum 15 years of experience in program management, with a focus on IT projects
• Extensive experience in full systems development life cycle and enterprise-wide network engineering
• Proven ability to manage project cost, schedule, and performance

Responsibilities

• Manage a diverse portfolio of IT projects, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and objectives
• Oversee the full systems development life cycle, from inception to deployment
• Implement enterprise-wide network engineering and strategic information planning
• Conduct business process reengineering to enhance efficiency and effectiveness
• Identify and mitigate risks to the program, ensuring successful project outcomes
• Manage project cost, schedule, and performance to meet or exceed expectations
• Apply SAFe’s Lean Agile principles and practices to empower high-performing Agile teams
• Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure seamless communication and coordination
• Provide leadership and guidance to project teams, fostering a culture of continuous improvement

Preferred Qualifications

• Certification in Project Management Professional (PMP) or equivalent
• Experience with the Department of Veterans Affairs or other federal healthcare agencies
• Strong understanding of SAFe’s Lean Agile principles and practices
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
• Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills
