You will support the project management team in day-to-day and monthly administrative activities, ensuring the quality and consistency of project documentation. Requirements
- Post-secondary degree or diploma, preferably in project management or business administration
- Minimum three years of experience in project coordination or related field
- Familiarity with Agile methodologies and SaaS implementations
- Strong written, verbal and presentation skills
- Communication, problem-solving, change management and organizational skills
Responsibilities
- Converting SOW/contract requirements into project schedules and plans, including estimates, resources and target dates
- In coordination with the Project Managers, ensuring project documentation is maintained in accordance with business processes, including project schedules and budgets
- Using keen attention to detail to support the delivery of professional project documentation
- Develop engaging internal relationships across several departments and strata of the organization
- Review and understand that all contractual and SOW requirements are being met and delivered successfully, working with the Project Management team
- Prepare monthly milestone invoicing and status reports
- Prepare and circulate meeting notes and actions, as required
- Work with the client and third-party vendors to set up ad hoc and/or ongoing meeting cadence
- Supporting the PMO and BizOps with special projects as needed
- Supporting the PMO and Team Leads with ongoing project reviews
Preferred Qualifications
- PMP, CAPM or comparable project management designation
- Experience or familiarity with the utilities industry
- General familiarity or experience working with Management Information Systems such as Customer Information Systems (CIS), Work Orders & Asset Management (WAMS), Mobile Workforce Management (MWM), and/or Geographic Information Systems (GIS)
- Fluent with productivity tools such as Google Suite, Microsoft Office and others
- Experience with web-based Portfolio/Project/Product Management tools
- Previous experience with Kantata OX or other PSA platforms
- Both traditional and agile project management methodology training
- Experience with SaaS-based product implementations
- Proven interpersonal skills, the ability to build and strengthen relationships (both internal and external), and the ability to foster cooperation with numerous stakeholders, including senior management, clients and business partners
- Exceptional communication skills and ability to form engaging relationships
- Continuous improvement mindset and ongoing desire to learn and proactively bring forward new ideas
- Ability to logically create project schedules
- Ability to conduct project reviews with other Project Managers
- Effectively prioritize and execute tasks in what can be a fast-paced environment
- Strong analytical problem-solving skills with an emphasis on making decisions quickly and effectively
- Exceptionally organized and able to build and follow defined processes to ensure all tasks/steps are completed
- Confidence to work both independently and as a member of internal teams
- Strong written/documentation skills with excellent attention to detail
- Experience working within a matrix environment
