Requirements
- Bachelorβs degree in engineering, environmental science, business administration, economics, or a related field
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in renewable energy project development, project management, or a related field
- Basic understanding of renewable energy technologies, project finance, and regulatory requirements
- Strong organizational and project management skills, with attention to detail
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and sales skills are required
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
- Willingness to learn and adapt to new challenges in the renewable energy sector
Responsibilities
- Assist in the development and execution of renewable energy projects from initial concept through to completion
- Support project scheduling, budgeting, and resource allocation to ensure project milestones are met
- Coordinate with internal teams, external contractors, and stakeholders to facilitate project progress and address any issues
- Apply project management best practices to enhance project performance and minimize risks
- Support the permitting process for renewable energy projects, including the preparation and submission of applications for approvals, permits, and licenses
- Stay informed on relevant environmental regulations, zoning ordinances, and permitting requirements to ensure project compliance
- Assist in liaising with regulatory agencies, consultants, and legal counsel to navigate permitting processes and address challenges
- Help identify potential risks and uncertainties associated with renewable energy projects, including technical, financial, regulatory, and environmental risks
- Assist in developing risk management strategies and contingency plans to mitigate project risks
- Conduct preliminary risk assessments and support scenario analyses to prepare for potential project challenges
- Maintain positive relationships with project stakeholders, including landowners, local communities, government officials, and environmental organizations
- Effectively communicate project goals, benefits, and impacts to stakeholders and address any concerns or objections
- Support stakeholder engagement initiatives to foster community involvement, local economic development, and environmental stewardship
