Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in civil, Environmental, Mechanical Engineering or a similar discipline
  • 10+ years of engineering experience in planning and design of mechanical and treatment related projects
  • 5+ years working in Project Manager capacity
  • Professional Civil and/or Mechanical Engineer licensed in the State of California
  • Pass pre-employment drug test and background check

Responsibilities

  • Lead the planning and analysis of water, wastewater and/or recycled water processes and facilities, including capacity analysis, facility plans, alternatives analysis, condition assessment, process evaluations, risk assessment, operations and maintenance assessments
  • Lead the design of water, wastewater and/or treatment processes and facilities, open channel hydraulics, pump stations, treatment equipment (i.e. screens, clarifiers, blowers, dewatering equipment, filters, among others)
  • Work in the field, including construction observation, inspections, field measurements, and monitoring equipment setup, as necessary
  • Lead others in providing engineering services during construction, including reviewing contractor RFIs, submittals, change order requests, among others

Preferred Qualifications

  • Skilled in the use of Microsoft office (Word and Excel)
  • Excellent writing, organizational, communication and interpersonal skills
  • Skilled in the use of AutoCAD
  • Able to lead and work on challenging assignments in a team environment
