Summary
Join our team as a Project Manager and work remotely from Raleigh, NC on a 12+ month contract. You will collaborate with the DEQ Program Manager and project team to manage administrative tasks and support key financial, project management, and related activities. Experience with IT project management, Microsoft Project, Office 365 applications, and strong communication skills are essential. The role involves updating project management systems, tracking contractor hours, managing project documentation, and facilitating meetings. PMP certification and familiarity with Visio are preferred but not required. This is a fast-paced environment requiring a highly experienced Project Manager.
Requirements
- Demonstrated experience with IT project management
- Strong communication skills
- Demonstrated Experience with Microsoft Project, Office 365 applications, including SharePoint, and MS Teams
Responsibilities
- Work closely with the DEQ Program Manager, and members of the project team to manage administrative tasks and support key financial, project management, and related activities
- Update state project management system (Touchdown) weekly
- Tracking Contractors hours worked per week, percentage complete of key work streams, and related financial and project status information
- Scheduling and coordination of working sessions, touchpoints, and related project meetings
- Taking minutes for project meetings
- Supporting and facilitation of project documentation and templates
- PowerPoint presentation slide support
- Producing and editing reports
- Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment
Preferred Qualifications
- PMP certification
