Requirements

  • 3-5 years of previous experience, preferably in sports or live entertainment
  • Experience working with event and task management software (Asana, Teamworks)
  • Highly proficient with Excel, Word and PowerPoint
  • Effective time management, organizational, and problem solving skills
  • Team player with solution-oriented customer service skills
  • Strong sense of aesthetics (event planning) and experience
  • Willingness and ability to travel to league locations flexibly as needed (approximately 30% of the time)
  • Willingness to work flexible hours including evenings and weekends for load-in, load-out, special events, and game days
  • Legal authorization to work in the United States

Responsibilities

  • Provide administrative support to VP, Sports Operations, Senior Director, Sports Operations, and overall Sports Operations team
  • Assist in organizing internal and external meetings and events including scheduling, tracking documents, taking meeting notes, and ensuring follow-ups as assigned
  • Coordinate the tracking of future venue searches and assist with outreach and site visits as needed
  • Assist with sourcing future hotels and in-market resources
  • Work with the Sr. Director, Sports Operations and People & Culture to ensure we are on task and on schedule for SOS hiring in each season
  • Work with travel management company and AU Travel team to arrange AUSL travel and accommodations as needed
  • Work with Sports Ops vendor to ensure alignment with yearly and season-to-season calendars, as well as load-in and load-out schedules
  • Work with the VP to review proposals prior to submission to the Finance and Legal teams
  • Build high quality visual and written presentation materials (PowerPoint, Google Slides, Canva)
  • Help operations team as needed with load-in and load-out during seasons in league locations
