Summary
Join our team as a Project Manager and be part of our exciting growth across the Destination Sport Travel business. As a hybrid role based in Manchester, you will research, book, manage, and oversee the operational delivery of all aspects of team travel for professional sports teams & governing bodies.
Requirements
- Demonstrate extensive experience working as a Business Travel Consultant (within the sports travel industry would be highly desirable but not essential)
- Be proficient in using travel booking systems to a high level, including use of a GDS (Galileo would be highly advantageous)
- Possess previous experience booking flights, and coordinating bookings
- Ticketing experience would be highly advantageous (but not essential)
- Be solutions orientated with the ability to be proactive, flexible & adaptable
- Be accurate with the ability to follow complex instructions
- Demonstrate exceptional communication skills both verbal and written
- Have a strong work ethic & can-do attitude
- Demonstrate excellent Worldwide travel knowledge
- Be computer literate with strong IT skills: especially with Microsoft packages (Excel, Word)
- Possess excellent customer service skills
- Have the ability to think logically and consider all relevant aspects with strong analytical skills
- Demonstrate the ability to manage a large number of tasks simultaneously
- Be well organised and quick to prioritise workload
- Have the ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines
- Be willing to travel within the UK & international as per business needs
Responsibilities
- Manage all team travel both in the UK and overseas for allocated teams
- Lead commercial negotiations with suppliers on behalf of allocated teams
- Process reservations, amendments and cancellations as requested by the client in a timely and accurate manner and in accordance with the company standards and those laid out in the entire ISO procedures manual
- Deal with ticketing and re issues
- Manage day to day relationships with assigned teams, identifying opportunities to increase revenue
- Raise invoices promptly to protect business cashflow
- Oversee team operations remotely when as/when required including outside normal working hours
- Accurately process data to ensure compliance with ISO standards
- Take ownership of complex customer enquiries received in writing or over the telephone
- Offer advice regarding destinations, best/most cost-effective carriers etc
- Take ownership and responsibility for all client queries handled until successfully concluded
- Support any commercial agreements which are in place
- Ensure the highest level of customer service is offered to internal and external customers at all times
- Log and deal with customer complaints and reduce future issues, escalating where necessary
- Accurately process data and issue invoices to ensure compliance with ISO standards
- Ensure all communication both written and verbal is professional, accurate and conducted in a timely manner

- Help and support in minimising or eradicating the harm our business operations inevitably inflicts on the environment
- Travel within the UK and oversees as/when required
