Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree (and/or equivalent years of experience)
  • Working knowledge of healthcare issues and the life sciences industry
  • 5+ years experience in proposal development, preferably within the healthcare consulting industry
  • Proven track record of managing and winning complex proposals
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a keen eye for detail
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple proposals simultaneously and meet tight deadlines
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and proposal management software
  • Ability to work collaboratively with diverse teams and build strong working relationships

Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage the proposal development process from initial opportunity or RFP/RFI identification to final submission
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including business development, subject matter experts, and senior leadership, to coordinate their engagement in developing compelling proposals
  • Develop proposal strategies, outlines, and schedules to ensure timely and compliant submissions
  • Write, edit, and proofread proposal content to ensure clarity, consistency, and alignment with client requirements
  • Coordinate and conduct proposal reviews, incorporating feedback and ensuring continuous improvement
  • Develop and maintain a repository of proposal content, templates, and best practices to streamline future proposal development
  • Track and analyze proposal outcomes to identify areas for improvement and inform future strategies
  • Stay current with industry trends and best practices in proposal management and healthcare consulting

Preferred Qualifications

  • Knowledge of healthcare industry trends, regulations, and challenges is highly desirable
  • Experience in preparing and proofing documents for senior-level audience
  • Demonstrated ability to be flexible in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong ability to multi-task and can prioritize work streams effectively under deadline, with timely execution and resolution of action items
  • Highly organized with strong project management skills
  • Exceptional communication skills
  • Ethical, confident, and creative, with a persistent "can do" attitude
  • Commitment to working in a team environment with an emphasis on collaboration and maintaining positive relationship with colleagues and clients to achieve solutions-oriented goals
