Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree, preferably in business or a related field
  • 5+ years of progressive experience in B2B or public sector sales
  • Proven track record of consistently meeting or exceeding sales targets
  • In-depth knowledge of government sales cycles and procurement processes
  • Demonstrated success in developing and maintaining strategic, long-term relationships with C-suite decision-makers and senior leadership within federal, state, and local government agencies
  • Strong presentation, negotiation, and closing skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication abilities
  • Ability to build relationships at executive levels
  • Self-motivated with an entrepreneurial mindset
  • Willingness to travel as needed

Responsibilities

  • Develop and manage relationships with key decision makers in public sector organizations
  • Create and execute strategic sales plans to achieve revenue targets
  • Identify new business opportunities within the assigned territory or accounts
  • Prepare and deliver compelling sales presentations and proposals
  • Negotiate contracts and close deals with government clients
  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure the successful delivery of solutions
  • Stay updated on government procurement processes, regulations, and industry trends
  • Forecast sales pipeline and report on sales activities and results
  • Represent the company at industry events, conferences, and trade shows
