Summary
Join Wiz, a rapidly growing cloud security company, as a Public Sector Technical (Compliance) Project Manager. This independent contributor role focuses on executing federal governance, risk, and compliance efforts. You will oversee and manage projects from inception to delivery, collaborating with engineering, product, and external teams. The position requires strong project management skills, technical acumen, and experience working with federal agencies. Requirements
- 5+ years of leading technical and non-technical projects
- Bachelor’s degree or commensurate experience
- Understand agile methodology and SDLC
- Must be comfortable working in various project management tools however extensive experience in Jira is required
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Excellent organizational and communication skills
- Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to build and maintain reports that have meaning and value, not just colors
- Experience interacting with both technical and non-technical individuals at all levels – technical acumen is a must
- Enjoy operating autonomously
- Demonstrated ability to achieve results with cross-functional, virtual teams
- Organizational and analytical skills and can identify efficiencies and eliminate internal and external obstacles through creative/ adaptive approaches
- Demonstrated ability to build trust and use influence to drive projects
- Ability to establish/maintain a high level of trust and confidence
- Candidates must meet EAR part 772 and ITAR 120.15 definition of a U.S. person (Any individual who is granted U.S. citizenship; or any individual who is granted U.S. permanent residence (green card holder); or any individual who is granted status as a “protected person”) and that they reside in the contiguous United States
Responsibilities
- Ensure clear definition of project scope
- Plan, execute, and deliver technical projects on time
- Document project workstreams and tasks in a way that can assist cross functional teams with hitting timelines
- Define project scope, objectives, deliverables, and key milestones in collaboration with stakeholders
- Manage project dependencies, risks, and mitigation strategies
- Develop and maintain comprehensive program documentation, including roadmaps, status reports, and post-mortems
- Facilitate communication and collaboration across engineering, product, and other cross-functional teams
- Track and prioritize tasks, ensuring alignment with business and technical goals
- Serve as the main point of contact for project updates and deliverables
- Communicate technical concepts and progress to non-technical stakeholders effectively
- Provide regular status updates and dashboards to leadership
- Collaborate with engineering teams to understand technical requirements, challenges, and solutions
- Support teams in translating high-level objectives into actionable tasks
Preferred Qualifications
- Familiarity with FedRAMP is a HUGE PLUS
- Experience in cloud technologies, software engineering, or systems architecture
- Knowledge of specific industry tools or platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, DevOps pipelines)
- PMP, Scrum Master, or SAFe certification
