Public Sector Technical Project Manager

Requirements

• 5+ years of leading technical and non-technical projects
• Bachelor’s degree or commensurate experience
• Understand agile methodology and SDLC
• Must be comfortable working in various project management tools however extensive experience in Jira is required
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
• Excellent organizational and communication skills
• Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills
• Ability to build and maintain reports that have meaning and value, not just colors
• Experience interacting with both technical and non-technical individuals at all levels – technical acumen is a must
• Enjoy operating autonomously
• Demonstrated ability to achieve results with cross-functional, virtual teams
• Organizational and analytical skills and can identify efficiencies and eliminate internal and external obstacles through creative/ adaptive approaches
• Demonstrated ability to build trust and use influence to drive projects
• Ability to establish/maintain a high level of trust and confidence
• Candidates must meet EAR part 772 and ITAR 120.15 definition of a U.S. person (Any individual who is granted U.S. citizenship; or any individual who is granted U.S. permanent residence (green card holder); or any individual who is granted status as a “protected person”) and that they reside in the contiguous United States

Responsibilities

• Ensure clear definition of project scope
• Plan, execute, and deliver technical projects on time
• Document project workstreams and tasks in a way that can assist cross functional teams with hitting timelines
• Define project scope, objectives, deliverables, and key milestones in collaboration with stakeholders
• Manage project dependencies, risks, and mitigation strategies
• Develop and maintain comprehensive program documentation, including roadmaps, status reports, and post-mortems
• Facilitate communication and collaboration across engineering, product, and other cross-functional teams
• Track and prioritize tasks, ensuring alignment with business and technical goals
• Serve as the main point of contact for project updates and deliverables
• Communicate technical concepts and progress to non-technical stakeholders effectively
• Provide regular status updates and dashboards to leadership
• Collaborate with engineering teams to understand technical requirements, challenges, and solutions
• Support teams in translating high-level objectives into actionable tasks

Preferred Qualifications

• Familiarity with FedRAMP is a HUGE PLUS
• Experience in cloud technologies, software engineering, or systems architecture
• Knowledge of specific industry tools or platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, DevOps pipelines)
• PMP, Scrum Master, or SAFe certification
