Real Estate Broker

Summary

Join Doorstead, a high-growth startup in property management, as a Licensed Real Estate Broker in Virginia to help launch our Virginia brokerage and oversee real estate activities. This part-time, remote role requires a strong understanding of local, state, and national Fair Housing and real estate laws. You will work with legal and operations teams to establish the brokerage, ensuring compliance with regulations. Oversee brokerage activities, manage communication with the Virginia Real Estate Board, and attend monthly meetings with the executive team. Property management and/or startup experience is a plus. Doorstead uses technology and data to optimize rental property management, offering a unique opportunity to contribute to a rapidly expanding company.

Requirements

• Must possess a Virginia Real Estate Broker License that is active and in good standing
• Strong leadership and management skills to effectively oversee brokerage activities
• Understanding of local, state and national Fair Housing and real-estate laws to ensure compliance

Responsibilities

• Work with legal and operations teams to establish a brokerage in Virginia
• Oversee brokerage activities in Virginia
• Ensure the company is adhering to state and city regulations, as well as national Fair Housing and real-estate regulations
• Attend monthly brokerage meetings with executive team
• Manage communication and relationship with the Virginia Real Estate Board and other required organizations

Preferred Qualifications

Property management experience and/or start-up experience is a plus
