Summary

Join firsthand, a company supporting individuals with serious mental illness (SMI), as a contract Recruiter during a period of high growth. You will manage full-cycle recruiting for a high volume of open roles, focusing on attracting and assessing top talent. This high-volume position requires conducting numerous phone screens weekly and managing candidates through the entire hiring process. You will utilize various sourcing methods, including direct sourcing, social media, and community networks. Success in this role demands excellent communication, strong organizational skills, and the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously. The contract position offers competitive hourly pay but is not benefits-eligible.

Responsibilities

  • Own and manage full-cycle recruiting across a high volume of open roles, from intake to offer
  • Source, screen, and present qualified candidates who meet or exceed role requirements and cultural expectations
  • Meet a high hiring demand that’s coupled with a high bar for quality - this is a high volume recruiting position, with an expectation that you’ll average between 10-15 hires each month
  • Conduct about 25-35 initial phone screens each week, and move candidates through the full candidate lifecycle
  • Recruit candidates by direct sourcing, social media, and relevant community networks
  • Screen candidates’ resumes and job applications, schedule screens and move candidates through the hiring process with the help of the Recruiting Coordinator using Lever ATS
  • Assess applicants’ relevant knowledge, skills, soft skills, experience and aptitudes

Preferred Qualifications

  • 3-5+ years of recruiting experience, healthcare or social services industries preferred
  • Experience hiring social workers and peers (individuals with lived mental illness or substance use disorder experience) preferred
  • Previous sales or customer service experience preferred
  • Experience in an early-stage or growth company preferred
