Regional Director

Summary

Join the Stellar Development Foundation (SDF) as a seasoned Regional Director to spearhead business development across the Asia-Pacific region (APAC). You will be a key public voice, educating stakeholders about the Stellar ecosystem. This role involves coordinating all SDF activities in APAC, from developer-focused business development to large financial institutions, event planning, and policy initiatives. You will collaborate with the broader partnership team and contribute to company objectives. The position requires extensive experience in business development within blockchain, fintech, or financial services, along with a strong understanding of the cryptocurrency landscape. Requirements

• Possess 10+ years of relevant experience with a proven track record of success in business development roles within the blockchain, fintech, or financial services industries
• Have a minimum of 2 years of experience in the blockchain industry, either at a blockchain company or in a role working on blockchain technology and use cases
• Demonstrate a strong understanding of the cryptocurrency landscape and experience working with crypto exchanges, custodians, and asset tokenization platforms
• Exhibit a high degree of accountability with a strong ability to communicate regional progress and all outcomes at frequent intervals to stakeholders
• Be able to work in a collaborative team environment, with multiple stakeholders, while often working remotely from said team
• Possess excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to develop and maintain professional relationships with a network of senior-level professionals, as well as sound judgment, poise in professional settings, and self-awareness
• Be a self-starter with an entrepreneurial drive
• Be able to travel as needed, with frequent representation of Stellar at regional meetings and conferences

Responsibilities

• Conduct business development work related to expanding DeFi, increasing monthly addresses, and driving asset tokenization, coordinating with Leads of each partnership vertical
• Surface opportunities based on SDF's needs and help close deals brought by other members of BD and SDF
• Assist with regulatory and government relations needs in the region, supporting the Legal, Policy and Government Relations teams
• Assist the Ecosystem team to identify, plan, and run events in the region

Preferred Qualifications

• Have existing relationships within the crypto ecosystem, particularly with a focus on tokenization and decentralized finance
• Have existing relationships with financial institutions, particularly on the asset management side

Benefits

• Competitive pay with a base salary range of SGD 230,000-325,000 depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience
