Requirements

  • Have extensive experience working within the school's travel or sports travel sector
  • Be sales-focused with a desire to learn and develop skills
  • Possess excellent communication skills both verbal and written
  • Be confident and keen to develop presentation skills
  • Be self-motivated and able to manage own time effectively
  • Have a desire to succeed in a competitive environment and work to targets
  • Possess a good eye for detail
  • Have a passion for sport and travel
  • Possess first-hand knowledge of some key destinations such as Europe, South Africa, North America, and the Caribbean (desirable)
  • Be able to create and deliver accurate costing proposals to the client in a timely fashion
  • Must be able to travel regularly both domestically and internationally
  • Able to work remotely and use own initiative to meet deadlines

Responsibilities

  • Manage relationships with clients from initial contact to implementation
  • Generate recurring business through promotional and selling activities
  • Identify sales prospects, prepare quotes, manage the bid process, and monitor sales of tours
  • Grow own sales pipelines and pitch and present to win new business
  • Consistently review the sales funnel to ensure there are enough prospects for conversion throughout the year
  • Identify new clients and implement a business development plan
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with schools, clubs, colleges & universities
  • Develop and maintain a strong relationship with the operations team, 3rd party suppliers, professional partner clubs, and governing bodies
  • Promote excellent customer service throughout the customer journey to ensure complete customer satisfaction
  • Assist the operations team in the effective delivery of tours
