Requirements
- Be located in the Houston metro area
- Minimum 5 years of sales experience
- A track record of progressive and successful sales experience
- A forward action, self-starter with proven ability to work autonomously and within teams
- Effective communicator at all levels, capable of high-level customer interaction within various customer segments
- Proven ability to negotiate and close deals
- Excellent time and project management skills
- Exceptional oral and written communication skills with a heightened attention for detail
- Highly developed multi-tasking skills with a proven ability to work in high stress situations while maintaining a positive attitude
- Demonstrated ability to be forward-thinking and innovative while understanding client needs and the intricacies of our business processes and technologies
- Ability to develop both internal and external relationships
- Be willing to travel up to 50% yearly
- Have the ability to operate a motor vehicle with a valid driverโs license and clean driving record
- Pass a background check and drug screen
Responsibilities
- Achieve monthly sales goals, for order quantity and gross profit, by cultivating new and existing accounts
- Maximize daily efficiency by mastering sales, scheduling and communication tools available in proprietary software
- Collaborate with marketing to convey the DWC brand to distribution partners
- Travel to customers to develop and grow relationships
- Book flights, rental cars, and travel accommodations in a timely and economic manner
- Create thorough call reports that provide lead generation and business strategy for Account Managers
- Provide reports of vertical and horizontal expansion, new clients and current customer satisfaction measures
- Develop strong, long-term relationships with key decision-makers within accounts and develop deep knowledge of the client organization
- Develop tactical plans for targeting the existing customer base
- Show consistent improvement in sales, sales visits and prospects to clients, new projects and client revenue growth
- Keep abreast of current and future business trends
- Liaison on significant customer issues, when required, to preserve customer relationships
- Leverage current relationships at the local and regional customer level to assist in driving additional revenue
- Monitor and report on actions and strategy against plans
- Collaborate on the procurement, organization, and structure of company growth incentive and rebate programs
- Analyze customer accounts for potential opportunities and sales strategies
- Collaborate on high level market penetration strategies and execution
- Promote company culture through leadership behavior
- Perform other duties as assigned
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelorโs degree in a relevant field such as business or communication
- Experience in the electrical wire and cable industry
