Regional Sales Manager

Summary

Requirements

• Be located in the Houston metro area
• Minimum 5 years of sales experience
• A track record of progressive and successful sales experience
• A forward action, self-starter with proven ability to work autonomously and within teams
• Effective communicator at all levels, capable of high-level customer interaction within various customer segments
• Proven ability to negotiate and close deals
• Excellent time and project management skills
• Exceptional oral and written communication skills with a heightened attention for detail
• Highly developed multi-tasking skills with a proven ability to work in high stress situations while maintaining a positive attitude
• Demonstrated ability to be forward-thinking and innovative while understanding client needs and the intricacies of our business processes and technologies
• Ability to develop both internal and external relationships
• Be willing to travel up to 50% yearly
• Have the ability to operate a motor vehicle with a valid driver’s license and clean driving record
• Pass a background check and drug screen

Responsibilities

• Achieve monthly sales goals, for order quantity and gross profit, by cultivating new and existing accounts
• Maximize daily efficiency by mastering sales, scheduling and communication tools available in proprietary software
• Collaborate with marketing to convey the DWC brand to distribution partners
• Travel to customers to develop and grow relationships
• Book flights, rental cars, and travel accommodations in a timely and economic manner
• Create thorough call reports that provide lead generation and business strategy for Account Managers
• Provide reports of vertical and horizontal expansion, new clients and current customer satisfaction measures
• Develop strong, long-term relationships with key decision-makers within accounts and develop deep knowledge of the client organization
• Develop tactical plans for targeting the existing customer base
• Show consistent improvement in sales, sales visits and prospects to clients, new projects and client revenue growth
• Keep abreast of current and future business trends
• Liaison on significant customer issues, when required, to preserve customer relationships
• Leverage current relationships at the local and regional customer level to assist in driving additional revenue
• Monitor and report on actions and strategy against plans
• Collaborate on the procurement, organization, and structure of company growth incentive and rebate programs
• Analyze customer accounts for potential opportunities and sales strategies
• Collaborate on high level market penetration strategies and execution
• Promote company culture through leadership behavior
• Perform other duties as assigned

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field such as business or communication
• Experience in the electrical wire and cable industry
