Summary
Join Merchants Fleet, a rapidly growing fleet management company, as a Regional Sales Manager. Requirements
- Direct long-term fleet management sales experience is a must, with leases ranging from 2-5 years in length
- Exceptional use and management of CRM (Salesforce) or any CRM
- Strong networking and sales lead development capabilities
- Influencer with demonstrated negotiation skills
- Strong verbal and written skills are required with a wide range of levels up to and including ‘C’ level Executives with our clients and prospective client companies
- A working knowledge and competency with common business information technology software and ability to learn and utilize proprietary company software and on-line web-based tools employed by the company
- A basic understanding of how to interpret financial statements to assess the credit worthiness of prospective clients
- Knowledge of leasing contracts and deal structures along with ancillary fleet management services
- Excellent time management
- The desire, willingness, and ability to learn – inquisitive in nature
- Ability to function as a collaborator and assist in directing and coordinating company resources to meet the needs of clients and prospects
- Must hold a valid U.S. driver’s license and an acceptable driving record at time of hire
- Must continue to keep a satisfactory driving record, as determined by Merchants, and remain eligible to be insured by the company’s vehicle insurance carrier. Employee must cooperate in completing any required authorizations or paperwork for regular motor vehicle checks
Responsibilities
- Identify key stakeholders and decision makers, using long-term strategic thinking to identify and solve customer pain points with value-added services
- Develop and maintain long-term relationships within the region for developing new prospects and clients, with a focus on hunting new lines of business
- Probe for unfulfilled needs of prospects and in turn developing and presenting solutions based upon Merchants value proposition

Preferred Qualifications
- A minimum of five years’ experience is preferred in sales or a related field within the fleet leasing and management industry
- BA Degree is preferred or equivalent Fleet Sales Experience
- Demonstrated history of being a top performer
