Regulatory Legal Intern

Summary

Join LTSE, a mission-driven national securities exchange, as a Regulatory Legal Intern. This part-time (minimum 8-10 hours/week) spring internship (Q1-Q2) offers a full-time summer 2025 opportunity with potential for full-time conversion. The role involves assisting with regulatory filings, research, and document management, working closely with experienced legal professionals. The position is fully remote, with office access available for NYC-based interns. Candidates must reside in the Central or Eastern US time zones. • At least a second year law student with interest in regulatory and legal work
• Prior experience working in a professional environment

Responsibilities

• Assisting in the drafting and filing of rule changes and amendments with the SEC
• Assist with the preparation of documents and replying to regulatory inquiries
• Research of SEC and competitor exchanges’ rules and notices
• Research various securities rules and regulations
• Assist with the FINRA Regulatory Services meetings and document management
• Assist with the Exchange’s internal policies and procedures

Preferred Qualifications

• Prior experience creating legal and compliance documents from concept through implementation; record-keeping is a plus
• Previous experience with, or exposure to, the SEC or a regulated environment is a plus

• Compensation for this role is $25 per hour, with opportunity for reassessment upon conversion to full-time
