Responsibilities

  • Participate in the month-end close process, ensuring all reconciliations and adjustments are completed accurately and on time
  • Manage retailer accounts receivable (AR) reconciliations on a weekly and monthly basis, ensuring timely and accurate reporting
  • Reconcile customer deposits and unapplied payments monthly
  • Perform monthly reconciliation for factored invoices
  • Reconcile revenue and discounts monthly
  • Process and manage vendor payments, ensuring accuracy and timely disbursement
  • Prepare and deliver invoices for freight, storage, subscriptions, and other services
  • Manage the processing and confirmation of credit memos, ensuring proper application and communication with brands
  • Deduct overdue fees that are 90 days past due and resolve any discrepancies
  • Prepare external audit letters and provide supporting documentation as needed
  • Manage short payments and other adjustments, providing visibility on necessary write-offs
  • Identify opportunities to streamline processes, reduce administrative costs, and improve overall efficiency
  • Serve as a primary contact for resolving discrepancies with both internal and external stakeholders
  • Maintain meticulous records of communications and transactions to ensure comprehensive tracking and timely issue resolution

About the Role

The Accounting Operations Specialist will manage key financial processes such as month-end close procedures, retailer AR reconciliations, and credit confirmation processing. They will play a crucial role in ensuring the accuracy and efficiency of these operations, collaborating with internal teams and external partners.
