Role Description:

The Billing Operations Transformation Lead is a position that will support the transformation of Google Fiber’s systems & tools and billing experience.  A successful candidate will be equally knowledgeable of business needs and technical details, serving as the bridge between business operations, finance and engineering.  This role will be responsible for supporting the transition of our systems & tools ecosystem to cloud-based platforms, providing the strategic, business, and operational oversight in close partnership with cross-functional partners and technical teams.  This role will serve as the primary business lead in executing new billing solutions and partner with finance and accounting to define and implement new operations processes for payment processing, credit, cash collections and billing operations.

This position will also support the vendor assessments for the new billing and payments vendors, and define processes for long term management of these relationships (QBRs, SLAs, etc).

In this role, you’ll:

• Responsible for day to day support of new billing solutions and definition of requirements for new billing processes, working with cross-functional partners, technical experts, and GFiber leadership on strategic decisions.
• Support new vendor assessments and definition of business standards for new contracts.
• Partner with the accounting and finance team on the requirements for new account receivable (AR) subledger and associated operations functions (i.e. invoice ops, credit, cash application, collections, etc).
• Manage leadership communications, including updates, escalations, and decision-making.

At a minimum we’d like you to have:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Accounting, Finance, or equivalent practical experience.
• 7 years of systems & tools and billing operations experience.
• Knowledge of subscription billing systems, processes, and vendors.
• Experience supporting large-scale transformation programs and new vendor integrations.

It’s preferred if you have:

• 10 Years of systems & tools and billing operations experience.
• 5  years in the telecom or cable industry.
• Experience managing an AR sub-ledger and associated processes.
• Capacity to understand business & operational needs and translate to technical requirements.
• Ability to facilitate collaboration with diverse groups and stakeholders across all levels.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is between $164,000 - $241,000 + bonus + cash award + benefits. As pay varies by location, your recruiter will share more about the specific salary range for your targeted location during the hiring process.
