Requirements
- Proven experience in business development, specifically within the government sector
- Strong understanding of government procurement processes and regulations
- Familiarity with government buying agreements like GSA Schedules, BPAs, and IDIQ contracts
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills
- Ability to build and maintain relationships with government officials and agencies
- Self-motivated with a results-driven approach
- Proven experience working alongside channel partners (Experience working with government resellers and distributors like Carahsoft or ImmixGroup
Responsibilities
- Identify and prospect potential government clients and opportunities
- Develop and maintain relationships with key government stakeholders
- Conduct market research to understand government procurement processes and requirements
- Prepare and deliver compelling presentations and proposals tailored to government clients
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure alignment and support for government projects
- Track and report on sales activities and outcomes
- Leverage specific government buying agreements such as General Services Administration (GSA) Schedules, Blanket Purchase Agreements (BPAs), and Indefinite Delivery/Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) contracts
