Summary

Join Teach For All as their Compliance and Global Entity Operations Manager to support the launch and operation of new entities in Singapore and Belgium. This role will ensure compliance and accurate registrations for both entities, manage operational processes related to payments, employment, and legal matters, and collaborate with global teams. Responsibilities include entity and legal management, supporting the finance team with financial management, assisting the People Operations team with employment and benefits administration, and undertaking ad hoc projects. The ideal candidate will have 7+ years of experience, with at least 4 in Singapore, and experience with Singapore CLGs. Requirements

  • 7+ years of work experience, with at least 4 in Singapore
  • Possess valid local work authorization/permit in Singapore

Responsibilities

  • Ensure all filing requirements are up-to-date for CLG and Charity Status in Singapore and nonprofit status in Belgium
  • Manage entity processes, coordinating with other teams, including the Global Institute programmatic team, Finance, People Operations, and Legal to manage all filing and registration submissions and updates
  • Liaise with legal and external counsel around entity compliance and the entityโ€™s relationship with Teach For All, Inc
  • Remain updated on evolving Singapore and Belgium entity legislation and requirements
  • Support operations and official procedures for Board meetings, including document and knowledge management, resolutions
  • Managing compliance and legal-related invoices
  • Manage bank reconciliations and provide extra capacity support for payments
  • Draft journal entries related to entity and inter-entity transactions
  • Supporting audit preparation, pulling backup documentation for selections, auditor communications
  • Support entity-level budgeting, donor proposals, and reporting
  • Support Global Institute staff in understanding financial processes such as contracting and budgets
  • Become familiar with European Commission funding mechanisms and support initial donor budgets
  • Support the People Operations team in maintaining up-to-date processes, systems, and information related to employment and benefits
  • Support team with time tracking/timesheets linked to monthly Singapore and Belgium payrolls and coordinate with HR vendors in reporting staff PTO balances accurately
  • Support the administration of employee benefits, such as health insurance, retirement plans, and other employee perks
  • Liaise with vendors to troubleshoot any issues, know changes, etc
  • Proactively mitigate and respond to employment, staffing, and employment-related issues in collaboration with the Director, People Operations APAC and Director, Global Payroll and Benefits
  • Support with information and data filing for various audits and compliance-related requests
  • Support cross-functional projects
  • Providing extra capacity to operational functions and tasks during peak times

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with Singapore CLGs with Charity Status applications and filings
  • Experience working in global environments
  • Experience in operations, in areas such as legal registration, finance, employment/benefits
  • Experience working in Belgium, elsewhere in the EU, in or with the nonprofit sector in Europe, or with European Commission funding
  • Comfort in working across teams in a global environment and supporting many different functional areas, often multi-tasking
  • Ability to quickly learn new information and integrate it into existing processes
  • Ability to work independently and take initiative
  • Ability to be exceptionally organized, maintain logs and details of numerous processes and guidelines, and coordinate activities of many stakeholders
  • Interest in and passion for education and Teach For Allโ€™s mission
  • Fluency in French
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Strong written communication skills
  • Ability to build strong relationships and work with diverse individuals
