Remote Consultant - Professional Services

Join Accela's Professional Services team as a Technical Consultant to leverage software development skills in configuring, deploying, and automating the Civic Application Platform for customers.

Requirements

• S. in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent experience
• Strong customer-facing skills with the ability to clarify and define requirements
• Development experience in JavaScript, C#, Java, HTML, Oracle/SQL, and Reporting
• Familiarity with UI/UX design principles
• Solid understanding of cloud-based platform architectures, including SaaS and multi-tiered infrastructure
• Experience discussing and designing cloud architectures
• Strong understanding of enterprise application integration, data migration (ETL), and business intelligence
• Experience with Web Services, responsive web design, and mobile app development
• Knowledge of network, application, and information security principles

Responsibilities

• Ensure the success of Accela’s Professional Services projects, maintaining high standards and adhering to best practices
• Work closely with implementation teams to translate the vision of our Civic Platform into reality using technical expertise
• Understand customer needs and provide tailored technical and business solutions
• Collaborate closely with Project Managers and Business Analysts to drive effective technical decisions and workstreams
• Coordinate with Delivery Directors, Project Managers, Architects, and other team members, as well as customers, to deliver technology solutions that align with customer requirements
• Take ownership of end-to-end solution delivery, including design, testing, documentation, packaging, and deployment
• Contribute to the creation of redistributable packaged solutions for global customer use
• Champion best practices and delivery standards, ensuring positive user experiences
• Act as a trusted advisor to both the customer and the project team, managing expectations and promoting solution adoption
• Lead technical and architecture workshops to educate and engage customers
• Collaborate with the Solution Architecture team to incorporate customer feedback into productized packaged solutions
• Communicate effectively both verbally and in writing

Benefits

• Annual base salary range: $105,000 - $110,000
• Annual bonus target
