Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field such as finance, accounting, engineering, or a related discipline
• Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in cost estimation, preferably in the context of FEMA Public Assistance programs or a related field
• Strong analytical and quantitative skills for evaluating cost estimates
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational abilities
• Strong computer skills, Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams) Adobe Pro, and general skill using technology such as smartphones and the internet
• Proficiency in using specialized software and tools for cost estimation and analysis

Responsibilities

• Cost Estimation - Review and analyze cost estimates submitted by applicants for FEMA Public Assistance programs, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and compliance with FEMA guidelines
• Regulatory Compliance - Stay current on FEMA policies, guidelines, and regulations related to cost eligibility for Public Assistance programs
• Documentation Validation - Collaborate with FEMA representatives and applicants to validate and document cost estimates
• Technical Expertise - Utilize specialized software and tools for cost estimation and analysis
• Communication - Work closely with applicants to clarify cost-related information and address any issues
• Data Management - Maintain accurate and organized records of cost estimates, validation activities, and communications
