Responsibilities

  • Oversee payroll processes in multiple countries, ensuring accurate and timely payment of salaries, taxes, and deductions
  • Maintain comprehensive global compensation and benefits programs aligned with market data, fairness & transparency, business objectives, and employee needs
  • Manage health insurance, retirement savings, and other benefits programs across multiple countries
  • Lead the annual compensation review cycle, including salary adjustments, merit increases, and bonus programs. Maintain global salary structures and market pricing
  • Ensure adherence to labor laws and regulations in all relevant jurisdictions
  • Oversee accurate and timely payroll in multiple countries, including all benefits and tax deductions
  • Manage payroll analysts (outsourced or full-time)
  • Recommend improvements to payroll processes, systems, and providers
  • Document applicable processes, checklists, and SOPs for areas of responsibility and ensure compliance with them
  • Coordinate with the Finance team on reporting and payroll data analysis, general ledger, banking, reconciliation, and audit requests
  • Manage workers’ compensation, unemployment, and tax compliance in each state and country. Establish new state or country registrations when necessary
  • Oversee compliance with federal, state and local legal requirements
  • Oversee and administer benefits programs in multiple countries
  • Analyze benefit utilization and make recommendations based on market data and employee needs
  • Lead effective employee benefits communication, including marketing materials, educational sessions, and open enrollment
  • Manage relationships with brokers, retirement/pension plan providers, and other vendors
  • In conjunction with leadership, evaluate coverage, services, and costs with carriers and brokers to determine feasibility in terms of cost, risk and impact
  • Ensure compliance with regulations related to benefits and compensation, and lead retirement compliance activities such as audits in all countries
  • In collaboration with leadership, administer a global total rewards strategy, including compensation and benefits that align with the organization’s goals, budget, and competitive market practices
  • Utilize market data and analytics to evaluate the effectiveness of total rewards programs and recommend enhancements to ensure attraction, retention, and engagement of talent
  • In conjunction with outside consultants, lead compensation projects such as market data review, job level evaluation, and gender pay analysis
  • Provide ad-hoc compensation support and advice when required
  • Oversee the annual compensation process
  • Serve as a trusted advisor on compensation, benefits, and payroll matters
  • Use managerial best practices to lead and support a growing team
  • Provide exceptional and prompt customer service to a fully distributed, multi-national workforce
  • Proactively identify issues and resolve them, implement process improvements and enhance efficiencies
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to streamline processes and enhance our team’s experience
  • Ensure accuracy and integrity of HR data and systems, implementing best practices for data management, data integrity and security
  • Assist in other functional People Team areas and projects as needed
  • Be occasionally available early or late in the work day to meet with colleagues or vendors in European and Asia Pacific regions
  • Travel 2-3 times per year for team meetings or conferences

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in multi-national payroll
  • CCP / CBP / CPP / PHR / SHRM certifications

Job Summary:

The Tessitura People team is responsible for the full employee experience for our over 350 Tessitura team members in multiple countries and US states.  An integral part of this experience is providing a robust, competitive, and equitable compensation and benefits package along with accurate and timely payroll.

The Director of Total Rewards is a new position that oversees our global payroll administration and develops and administers our total rewards programs, including compensation policies and benefits packages that are designed to attract and retain employees.

This position balances operational responsibilities with strategic insights.It requires strong analytical skills, an understanding of global compensation, benefits, and payroll, combined with the ability to align these programs with our organizational goals and values.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Global payroll management: Oversee payroll processes in multiple countries, ensuring accurate and timely payment of salaries, taxes, and deductions.
  • Rewards strategy: Maintain comprehensive global compensation and benefits programs aligned with market data, fairness & transparency, business objectives, and employee needs.

Specific Responsibilities:
