It is a very exciting time of growth for our Corporate Finance team, and we are currently hiring a Director of Finance to provide technical, operational and strategic accounting leadership to the finance team. This position reports to the VP of Finance.

This is a remote position but should be located in Dallas/Ft. Worth, TX or Nashville, TN.

What will my role entail?

We are currently seeking a Director of Finance r esponsible for the accounting operations and for financial public reporting for Quisitive as a Canadian-listed company including monitoring adherence to monthly and quarter-end financial close processes and procedures.  The Director of Finance also drives process improvement, the design of financial systems, and the implementation, maintenance and review of internal controls.

• Preparation and accurate reporting and filing of public annual and quarterly financial reports
• Responsible for monthly close process and coordination with Director of FP&A to distribute financial reports to executive team members.
• Oversight for General Ledger, Treasury and financial reporting functions. Manage department staff members in a remote work environment
• Coordinates, directs, plans and executes the financial reporting component of the external audit and assumes the primary liaison role with external independent auditors
• Lead role in technical accounting research efforts – analyzes, researches and concludes on new and proposed accounting, reporting and disclosure standards
• Deep understanding of multiple professional service and recurring revenue streams and full period end close skill set applicable to a consulting practice
• Assist CFO and VP of Finance in implementing and tracking performance of corporate objectives
• Lead role in establishing, monitoring, and enforcing internal controls – key input into review of journal entries and complex accounting matters
• Assist in recruiting, training and evaluating staff; assist in developing and implementing continued training for professional accounting associates; focus on team building in a remote-work environment
• Oversee foreign currency translation and multicurrency treasury operations
• Lead financial systems design and implementation. Consolidate financial systems from M&A activity into one platform as such needs arise

What’s required to be successful in this role?

• CPA strongly preferred, with over 5+ years of experience and/or accounting experience with publicly listed entities or in a public accounting firm
• Skilled knowledge of financial statement analysis and GAAP, corporate finance concepts, and reporting techniques
• Excellent communicator and collaborator across multiple functions and management levels.
• Superior technical, quantitative and analytical skills. Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to multitask and prioritize diverse tasks
• Proactive, independent, and self-motivated, with the initiative to research information, solve problems and get things done
• Capable of using sound judgment and unquestionable integrity when managing confidential information
• Emotionally intelligent with the ability to build strong professional partnerships
• Thrive in an environment that is fast-paced, rapidly changing, and customer service-oriented.
• Advanced Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, PowerBI) skills.
• Travel – this position is expected to travel approximately 5% of the time – primarily to Dallas or Nashville for team meetings.
