Requirements

  • Minimum: Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or related field required
  • 10 years relative experience preferred
  • Knowledge of proper grammar, spelling and rules of composition
  • Ability to work independently and with other team members
  • Ability to mentor, motivate and build assigned team
  • Ability to travel as required
  • Ability to organize and complete work in a timely manner while multi-tasking
  • Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of the organization
  • Must have in-depth knowledge of computers and software systems such as Microsoft Office
  • Must be detail-oriented and highly organized
  • Must have change leadership experience and strong leadership skills
  • Must be able to work for prolonged periods of sitting, typing and use of the phone and computer
  • Must successfully complete onboarding training/tutorials and attend future webcasts/trainings as required

Responsibilities

  • Provides oversight in development, implementation and generation of new processes and systems for the centralized payroll team which is inclusive of Compliance & Audit and Payroll
  • Overall responsibility and management of Payroll system used for paying field talent (talent on assignment with clients)
  • Mindset to seek continuous improvement through more efficient and effective processes and be agile in a fast paced and changing environment
  • Understanding of general accounting principles and consideration of impact when updating or changing processes or creating reports
  • Coordinate and provide training to managers/supervisors regarding changes in processes and to receive feedback from team
  • Understand intimately each process performed by team
  • Communication and candid discussions with CFO and/or Controller on a weekly basis
  • Conduct weekly one to ones with team managers, including annual evaluations, mentoring, and coaching plans
  • Succession Planning
  • Manage Off-Shore resources
  • Inventory at risk positions, reduce voluntary turnover
  • Lead multiple process improvement projects
  • SME on multiple company-wide process improvement teams
  • Review software solutions to improve efficiencies
  • Reduce duplication of efforts and manual processes
  • Build Change Resiliency within team
  • Assist with various audits related to financial, tax or payroll compliance
  • Manage team workflow/volume and participation in hiring managers/supervisors
  • Help to create an environment of high morale, motivation and teamwork and improve employee engagement
  • Other centralized payroll team projects and duties as assigned
