  • Experience with HRIS (preferably ADP) and other HR tools, as well as data-driven decision-making

Responsibilities

  • Lead the People & Culture team (team of 3 currently) which includes two employees in India and one employee in the US
  • People Operations: Lead the development, implementation, and optimization of all people operations functions, including HRIS management, compliance, policies, and procedures
  • Ensure that HR processes are efficient, scalable, and aligned with the company’s growth
  • Oversee payroll, benefits administration, and compensation plans to ensure competitive offerings for US, India, Germany and China employees
  • Talent Acquisition & Recruitment: Design and execute a strategic recruitment plan to attract, develop, and retain top talent across all departments
  • Collaborate with leadership to assess staffing needs, develop job descriptions, and ensure a smooth hiring process
  • Implement talent sourcing strategies to build a diverse and high-performing team
  • Performance Management: Drive the company’s performance review process, including goal setting, feedback, and continuous development
  • Work closely with managers to foster employee development and identify high-potential talent
  • Employee Engagement & Culture: Champion a positive and inclusive company culture that aligns with our values and mission
  • Develop and execute employee engagement programs, including Employee Pulse Surveys, recognition initiatives, and feedback mechanisms
  • Foster a culture of collaboration, transparency, and continuous improvement
  • Support in leading Weekly All Hands (creating content and facilitating)
  • Compensation & Benefits: Oversee the design and administration of the company’s compensation and benefits programs to ensure alignment with market trends and employee satisfaction
  • In partnership with COO/CFO, lead annual compensation reviews, ensuring fairness and competitiveness across all roles
  • Evaluate and recommend new benefits offerings to meet the evolving needs of the workforce
  • Manage relationship with Benefits broker

CommentSold’s technology continues to provide businesses and creators of all sizes with best-in-class solutions for delivering engaging live video commerce experiences across all of their sales channels simultaneously. CommentSold moved into direct-to-consumer commerce via the acquisition of assets of Popshoplive, a community-driven livestream shopping marketplace app at the intersection of social, e-commerce and entertainment. In 2022, CommentSold debuted its lightweight video commerce plugin technology, Videeo, which gives any retailer or brand the ability to embed and go live with engaging, branded live video commerce experiences within days by easily integrating into an existing e-commerce stack.

The Director of People will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the global People (Human Resources) department, playing a pivotal role in shaping the company’s culture, optimizing employee performance, and driving the overall people strategy. This hands-on leadership role is for an individual with passion for people operations, culture building, and organizational development in a dynamic tech/SaaS environment.

This role can be based anywhere in the US on the East Coast / EST with the ability to travel at least 2-4x per year and reports to the Chief Legal Officer.

Main Responsibilities

    • Ensure compliance with labor laws and regulations (local, state, and federal) and company policies.
    • Maintain accurate employee records and manage the HRIS system efficiently.
    • Proactively address employee relations issues, fostering a culture of trust and communication.
