Requirements

  • Previous responsibility for owning pipeline targets and marketing contribution
  • Experience fueling the free trial / PLG motion with high quality trialers, and supporting the free trial nurture strategy
  • Experience building integrated cross-channel campaigns
  • High level of knowledge of Google AdWords + LinkedIn Ads
  • Experience managing agencies that support paid + organic strategies
  • Experience using intent platforms like 6Sense as a foundation for growth strategies

Responsibilities

  • Report to the Sr. Director, Web & Digital Marketing and lead demand strategy & execution
  • Build the team and provide frameworks / processes to launch campaigns that are sales-aligned, with attention to results on pipeline and revenue outcomes against targets
  • Drive all digital lead gen activities (PPC, display, email campaigns, vendor discovery, etc.)
  • Manage the Marketing Calendar, and use it to steer a unified outbound/inbound campaign motion
  • Work with the SDR team to scale up lead nurture to maximize revenue opportunities
  • Collaborate with Customer Success to boost expansion across strategic accounts
  • Provide ops and demand gen support for virtual and physical events
  • Coach internal teams on the best practices for demand generation, lead handling, outreach, and more

About the Team:

The Marketing team is responsible for creating and capturing demand for StarTree and Apache Pinot. The global team is fast-paced, high-velocity, and partners closely with the revenue, product, partner, and developer relations teams. The focus is always on creating engaging, educational experiences & content to build StarTree (and Pinot) awareness, and growing StarTree via supporting sales-led pipeline creation and free trial Product-led growth (PLG) revenue.

About the role:

We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven growth leader to join our marketing team at StarTree. The candidate will be responsible for developing StarTree’s growth strategy across three funnels: Product-Led Growth (Bottoms up), Enterprise sales / target accounts (Top down), and supporting channel sales. The candidate will build quarterly demand strategies in partnership with marketing, product, sales & channel leadership, while building and leading a small team. This role requires the ability to build comprehensive campaigns that are delivered across channels, but also be a player / coach leading the team. Particular areas of depth we’d like to ensure the candidate possesses include SEO, SEM, and cross-channel campaign strategy implementation & measurement.

Key Responsibilities:

What We’re Looking For:

- 10-15 years of experience in demand generation, with 5+ years of leadership.

- Experience working for startups in the data & analytics space, ideally with some open source commercialization experience.

- Previous responsibility for owning pipeline targets and marketing contribution.

- Experience fueling the free trial / PLG motion with high quality trialers, and supporting the free trial nurture strategy.

- Experience building integrated cross-channel campaigns.

- High level of knowledge of Google AdWords + LinkedIn Ads.

The base salary range for this US full-time position is $180,000-220,000 subject to experience and standard withholding and applicable taxes. Additionally, new hires receive competitive and compelling equity grants, and access to a comprehensive benefits offering. The base salary range reflects the minimum and maximum target for candidates. The Salary and Equity compensation offered may vary depending on factors including: location, skills, experience, and the assessment process.d
