Responsibilities

  • Centralize all information related to the country's general operations
  • Provide strong leadership as the local leader for remote teams, ensuring high levels of engagement, communication, motivation, and performance
  • Ensure the site and product’s operations align with customer needs and expectations, driving high levels of customer satisfaction, while maintaining relationships with key customers
  • Monitor financial performance and implement corrective actions as needed
  • Work closely with HR to ensure all operations comply with local laws and regulations. Identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies to safeguard the business
  • Act as a central point of contact and mediator between departments, fostering a collaborative work environment. Proactively identify and resolve cross-departmental issues that may impact the site and product’s overall performance
  • Oversee day-to-day operations to ensure efficiency, quality, and cost-effectiveness across our remote team. Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance operational processes and achieve business goals
  • Implement key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics to monitor and drive site performance
  • Adapt and integrate global corporate culture with local practices, ensuring a cohesive work environment, fostering a culture of respect, inclusion, and mutual understanding across diverse teams
  • Lead change management initiatives to drive innovation, adaptability, and continuous improvement
  • Lead efforts in technology integration and digital transformation to enhance operational efficiency and competitiveness
  • Maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including regional and global leadership, clients, and suppliers. Represent the Vietnam site and product in meetings with external stakeholders and regional leadership

What’s the opportunity?

We are seeking a dynamic General Manager to lead our remote Vietnam Country Operations. The candidate will be responsible for driving business performance, ensuring operational excellence, and fostering a culture of collaboration across all departments in a fully remote setting. This role requires a strong leader with extensive experience in SaaS, the ability to resolve cross-departmental issues effectively, and alignment with the company’s strategic objectives and local cultural nuances.

What you’ll do:

  • Leadership & Strategy: Centralize all information related to the country’s general operations. Provide strong leadership as the local leader for remote teams, ensuring high levels of engagement, communication, motivation, and performance.
  • Customer Focus: Ensure the site and product’s operations align with customer needs and expectations, driving high levels of customer satisfaction, while maintaining relationships with key customers.
  • Financial Oversight: Monitor financial performance and implement corrective actions as needed.
  • Compliance & Risk Management: Work closely with HR to ensure all operations comply with local laws and regulations. Identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies to safeguard the business.

  • Cultural Adaptation & Alignment: Adapt and integrate global corporate culture with local practices, ensuring a cohesive work environment, fostering a culture of respect, inclusion, and mutual understanding across diverse teams.
  • Innovation & Change Management: Lead change management initiatives to drive innovation, adaptability, and continuous improvement.
  • Technology & Digitalization: Lead efforts in technology integration and digital transformation to enhance operational efficiency and competitiveness.
  • Stakeholder Management: Maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including regional and global leadership, clients, and suppliers. Represent the Vietnam site and product in meetings with external stakeholders and regional leadership.
  • Travel Requirements: Be prepared to travel frequently within Vietnam and internationally as required (US, UK, Australia).

What you’ll need:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Management, or a related field. An MBA or equivalent advanced degree is preferred.
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in a senior management role, with a proven track record of leading cross-functional remote teams.
  • Strong experience and knowledge in SaaS, including product management, integration, and industry trends.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to resolve complex issues across multiple departments.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and inspire others.
  • Experience in the eCommerce industry is preferred.
  • Fluency in English and Vietnamese is required.
