Remote Senior General Manager, Insurance Operations

Requirements

• At least 12 years working experience in the general business of insurance industry
• Compliance with relevant fit and proper requirements pursuant to Spanish law
• At least Level 3 (or equivalent) mandatory initial training pursuant to Spanish law
• Fluent Spanish and English. Additional languages are a significant advantage
• Substantive knowledge of insurance products and the insurance market
• Experience creating and managing risk and compliance processes
• Ability to work both collaboratively and autonomously while prioritizing competing tasks in a fast-paced, challenging environment

Responsibilities

• Leading the development and execution of Airbnb’s Spanish insurance agency (the “Company”) strategy in partnership with the global Insurance Solutions team and internal cross-functional partners
• Holding primary responsibility for overseeing the development and maintenance of relationships with key internal and external stakeholders, including the agency’s interactions with the DGSFP, insurers and other business partners
• Establishing and monitoring agency OKRs and leading monthly and quarterly business reviews
• Working effectively and collaboratively with regional support and enabling teams who will ensure the Company's success and whose actions and behaviors reflect Airbnb’s core values
• Providing oversight of key functions within the Company and ensuring they produce the desired results and deliver consistent with the overall strategy and purpose of the Company
• Developing and maintaining sound management of the Company, including but not limited to risk management, oversight over all regional insurance compliance
• Acting as a thought leader for the Company and representing it at global external and internal events
