Join us as our Head of Legal for Spanish and Portuguese markets, leading legal strategy, drafting contracts, ensuring regulatory compliance, managing risk, and overseeing the legal department.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in a legal role, ideally with a focus on technology, software development, or healthcare
- Solid knowledge and practical experience in data protection related matters is a must
- Familiarity with industry regulations (for example, medical devices) is a plus
- Youβre comfortable advising on business transactions and have a strong understanding of contract law and commercial agreements
- Proven experience leading legal teams or departments, and a track record of advising senior leadership on complex legal matters
- You can translate legal jargon into plain language and provide practical advice that non-legal teams can easily understand
- Youβre a proactive thinker who can anticipate legal issues and offer creative, business-friendly solutions
- Spanish and English are a MUST. Portuguese is a PLUS
Responsibilities
- Lead the development of our legal strategy, ensuring it supports business growth while protecting the company from risk
- Draft, review, and negotiate a wide range of contracts including SaaS and other tech agreements, commercial agreements, partnership deals, vendor contracts, and licensing agreements
- Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations, data privacy, and other industry-specific laws
- Identify and mitigate legal risks related to our products, services, and operations
- Provide legal advice on corporate governance, including board matters, corporate policies, and equity structuring
- Oversee and manage the legal department, including in-house counsel and external legal resources as needed
