Remote Insurance Coverage Attorney - EPL

Requirements

• Admission (or awaiting admission) to practice in either New York or New Jersey
• Insurance experience and/or experience with employment-related matters a plus, but not required
• Strong legal research, writing and verbal communication skills
• Ability to interact with clients and command client confidence
• Ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects
• Excellent organizational and time management skills; and
• Ability to identify and resolve problems quickly

Responsibilities

• Issue coverage opinions and analyze liability and damages with respect to underlying EPL claims
• Identify coverage issues and defenses and provide coverage advice and recommendations to clients
• Monitor EPL claims in various stages from inception through resolution, including complex litigation in courts worldwide
• Work with policyholders and defense counsel concerning claim resolution strategy and participate in settlement negotiations, mediations and arbitration of claims
• Work cooperatively with others; and
• Interact with clients, brokers, policyholders and defense counsel on a daily basis
