Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, computer science, business, or related field is preferred
  • 7+ years of experience in sales engineering, with at least 2+ years in a leadership role
  • Deep experience in fintech, SaaS, or enterprise software solutions, preferably in digital banking or financial services
  • You are experienced with the origination process at a bank or credit union, ideally including account opening and loan origination
  • Proven success in leading and mentoring teams, with a collaborative, hands-on approach
  • Strong technical background with a deep understanding of software integrations, APIs, and core banking systems
  • Exceptional presentation and communication skills, with experience tailoring technical concepts for diverse audiences
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and work cross-functionally in a fast-paced environment
  • Customer-first mentality, with a strong passion for solving customer challenges and ensuring customer satisfaction

Responsibilities

  • Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing sales engineering team
  • Provide guidance and coaching on discovery, demo creation, integration scoping, and competitive differentiation
  • Foster a collaborative team culture with a focus on growth and skill development
  • Participate actively in complex sales cycles, leading in-depth discovery sessions to understand client needs and pain points
  • Design and deliver tailored product demos that highlight MANTL’s value proposition and meet specific customer requirements
  • Lead technical scoping efforts to ensure smooth transitions from pre-sales to implementation, including integrations with core banking systems and third-party technologies
  • Develop and refine sales messaging in collaboration with marketing and product teams to align with market trends and customer needs
  • Equip the sales team with the tools, technical insights, and collateral needed to position MANTL’s solutions effectively
  • Stay informed of industry developments, competitor solutions, and regulatory changes that impact the sales process
  • Partner with product and engineering teams to ensure the voice of the customer is reflected in product roadmap decisions
  • Provide ongoing feedback to leadership on market dynamics, competitive landscape, and customer challenges
  • Work closely with marketing to develop thought leadership content and materials that resonate with our target audience
  • Advocate for customer needs and ensure those needs are central to all sales and product decisions
  • Drive post-sale success by aligning closely with implementation teams to ensure accurate scoping and smooth handoff to customer success
