Requirements

  • Experience managing software development teams
  • Proven track record of delivering well-designed and tested software
  • Experience working in a fast-moving, high-growth company and/or experience working in consumer fintech
  • Experience working in a collaborative environment with product management, design and data partners
  • Experience with our tools and technologies: Kotlin, Java, Ruby on Rails, GraphQL with Apollo, Kafka, Typescript, ReactJS (note: experience with all is a nice to have, not required!)

Responsibilities

  • Set a strategic vision with your product counterpart and use it to develop a roadmap for your team, working closely with stakeholders
  • Develop a deep understanding of our clients’ experiences to set and maintain a high bar
  • Be a hands-on leader with strong craft to provide clear direction to your team and produce high quality work at speed
  • Ensure Design, Product, and Engineering (and any other functions) work well together and are aligned on shared goals for planning and project work
  • Directly manage developers through identifying career and development opportunities
  • Establish a strong culture on your team and help to mature our engineering practices
  • Create clarity through shared rituals, strong communication and context
