Join us as the Payroll Manager to manage payroll processes and oversee payroll administration for India and other APAC countries. Requirements

  • Six plus years of payroll processing experience
  • Prior experience using Keka’s payroll platform in India
  • Exposure to payroll processing within the APAC region
  • Payroll Process setup and testing experience
  • Experience in working autonomously, showing time management, proficiency to meet necessary timelines
  • Experience working with outsourced payroll providers
  • Must be able to exercise discretion and independent judgement with respect to enterprise-wide payroll matters
  • Must possess the skills and abilities to successfully perform all assigned responsibilities
  • Must be able to maintain confidentiality
  • Effective oral and written business communication skills in English
  • Able to organize, prioritize, and execute a variable workload and multiple priorities
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Must be proficient with payroll software
  • Ability to work in a team environment, and have collaborative, customer-focused style
  • Ability to maintain a collaborative, effective working relationship with human resources
  • Proficiency with MS Office applications, specifically Excel

Responsibilities

  • Manages the full spectrum of payroll processing and related analysis reporting in India
  • Co-ordinates and processes monthly payroll across multiple APAC countries, liaising with the 3rd party payroll providers to ensure the correct information is processed in respect of starters, leavers, and changes
  • Prepares weekly, monthly, quarterly, and year-end reports (gross payroll, hours worked, vacation accrual, tax deductions, benefit deductions, etc.) for management
  • Prepares various journal entries, account reconciliations, and provides general ledger support as necessary
  • Maintains up to date knowledge of, and compliance with applicable laws and regulations and resolves any escalated queries
  • Stays current on payroll systems to achieve alignment with HR benefits and other related and to ensure effective accounting support
  • Facilitates management and staff understanding of payroll procedures
  • Coordinates and reviews information flowing from the HR and associated systems
  • Works in coordination with HR on various issues as needed
  • Manages the integration of acquisitions into the payroll and associated systems in coordination with HR
  • Establishes and maintains key controls over payroll processing, HRIS information (i.e. new hires, terminations, benefit changes, etc.) as they affect payroll and contributes to process improvements
  • Establishes and maintains key controls over pension contributions
  • Coordinates various mandatory work cover insurance policies and related renewals
  • Primary point of contact for payroll queries
  • Promotes privacy awareness, manages, and oversees the deployment of Data Protection Regulations and Data Protection Policies
  • Manages/supports with expenses processing
  • Assist with other global payroll initiatives
  • Any other duties as may reasonably be required

This role will be responsible for monitoring all tasks necessary to accomplish the organization’s payroll processing objectives, including relationships with external auditors and governmental/federal agencies. The primary focus will be on planning, coordinating, and managing the functions of the payroll department, and processing payroll.

Primary Job Duties:

  • Manages the full spectrum of payroll processing and related analysis reporting in India
  • Co-ordinates and processes monthly payroll across multiple APAC countries, liaising with the 3rd party payroll providers to ensure the correct information is processed in respect of starters, leavers, and changes
