Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance or related field required
  • 3+ years of experience with Workday payroll
  • Excellent ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise extreme discretion
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and a strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Previous benefit administration experience a plus, but not required
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to liaise at all levels
  • Strong organizational skills, and the ability to work independently and under pressure
  • Ability to handle and prioritize multiple tasks and meet all deadlines
  • Strong alignment with Suvoda’s core values

Responsibilities

  • Processes the entire payroll cycle for United States employees in the Workday Payroll system
  • Maintains employee payroll records and ensure that employee changes are entered correctly, made on a timely basis, and reviewed for proper authorization
  • Runs audits to ensure accuracy and compliance with internal processes and policies
  • Inform the configuration for any state changes and updates in Workday
  • Works with Finance Team and communicate all payroll changes in a timely manner
  • Determine payroll liabilities by reviewing the calculation of federal, state, and local taxes
  • Lead the payroll system testing and implementation for Workday and support all ongoing upgrades and changes within the system
  • Understand and utilize the payroll system to maximize operational efficiency and effectiveness
  • Show a high level of customer service and the ability to interact with different internal teams
  • Assist with gathering data for compensation review cycles
  • Assists in the administration of employee benefit programs including life, disability, and health insurance plans
  • Supports implementation of HR related projects
  • Maintains knowledge of trends, developments, and best practices in payroll
  • All other duties as assigned
