Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience working in a Human Resources role for a Canadian tech company
  • Hands-on recruitment experience with technology roles
  • Experience with active and passive recruitment, ideally for tech roles
  • Experience using BambooHR and/or JazzHR or similar HRIS/Applicant Tracking Systems
  • Knowledge of Canadian employment laws
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • The ability to multi-task effectively within a fast-paced environment
  • Exceptional organization skills with attention to detail
  • The ability to work autonomously as well as part of a team
  • Canadian Citizenship or PR status
  • Reside in Canada, ideally Vancouver or Toronto
  • Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) in human resources or related field

Responsibilities

  • Full-Cycle Recruitment
  • Work closely with the Director, P&C, and Hiring Managers to identify staffing needs
  • Prepare job descriptions and post job ads
  • Source potential candidates through external recruitment platforms or agencies
  • Screen and interview applicants and schedule subsequent interviews with hiring managers and technical teams
  • Perform reference checks, and prepare offer letters, NDAs, and Employment Agreements
  • Coordinate the onboarding of new hires
  • Offboard employees who are leaving the company, which includes performing exit interviews and ensuring that company property is returned promptly
  • Maintain the company's HRIS BambooHR and Applicant Tracking System JazzHR
  • Assist the DPC with revising policies and processes following employment laws, industry best practices, and business objectives
  • Work with the DPC and the Marketing Team to grow and nurture the company culture through various initiatives and events that increase employee engagement
  • Support the DPC with tasks related to performance management and total rewards
  • Employee relations: Act as a point of contact to facilitate positive relationships between employees and the organization
  • Collaborate with educational institutions to attract and develop young talent for Aequilibrium
  • Develop and maintain relationships with potential candidates to build up Aequlibrium’s talent pool
  • Provide assistance with employee immigration and applications for P&C grants and awards
  • Act as a brand ambassador for the company by representing Aequilibrium at career fairs, networking events, and online communities

Who you are: You will have at least 3 years of experience working in an HR and Recruitment role with a Canadian tech company, ideally in professional services.

Location:

This position is 100% remote; however, only candidates based in Canada and with Canadian Citizenship or PR will be considered. If you’re based in BC, you must attend local in-person career fairs, networking, and other company events.

Salary:

The salary range for this position is CAD $55,000 - $70,000 annually.

Salary offered will be based on skills, experience, and market data.
