Requirements

  • Bachelor level degree in Accounting, Finance, required
  • Minimum 2-4 years related work experience
  • Service Industry experience preferred
  • Experience participating on a cross-functional team
  • Must possess strong written and oral communication skills and be able to prepare and analyze financial information
  • Must have excellent Excel skills, including data mining and data analysis
  • Must be capable of exercising good judgment in areas of moderate to high complexity when the situation warrants
  • High level understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
  • High level analytical capabilities
  • High math competency level; very detail oriented
  • Must be able to work independently
  • Ability to communicate (both written and verbal) effectively with all levels of the organization
  • Self-starter and motivation to accomplish tasks with minimal direction
  • Computer skills required: Microsoft Office applications. Salesforce, NetSuite and OpenAir a plus
  • Exceptional organizational and time management skills with the ability to juggle multiple projects

Responsibilities

  • Supports the revenue generation cycle by processing, analyzing, and troubleshooting time sheets, expense reports, billing rules, client invoices, client deposits, project tracking tools, and systems
  • Supports the overall portfolio of clients through partnerships with Business Development, Proposals, and Project Management
  • Communicates with the Project Team (Business Development, Proposals, Activation Administrators, Staff/Project Accountants, Resourcing, Project Management) proactively & investigates financial inquiries
  • Supports the Proposal process by completing financial contract reviews, including project estimation review and support
  • Authorizes final project activation based on client contracts and client relationship status, escalating to management when necessary
  • Approves project timesheet and invoice adjustments, escalating to management when necessary
  • Reviews project details to ensure accuracy of data and alignment between systems
  • Analyzes current costs, revenues, financial commitments, and obligations incurred to predict future revenues and expenses
  • Works with functional areas to understand and support reporting needs based on the requirements of internal and/or external customers
  • Identifies and implements process improvements within assigned projects and activities
  • Undertakes special projects as assigned and able to make recommendations
  • Perform other duties as assigned
