Requirements

  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to convey value and articulate a vision that resonates with agency customers
  • Proven ability to uncover customer needs through two-way discovery and match those needs to suitable solutions within Automattic's portfolio
  • Demonstrated success in converting both inbound and outbound leads/prospects, and effective management of the sales cycle to meet or exceed goals
  • Strong technical experience in understanding integrated technical systems and troubleshooting technical issues
  • Proven experience in developing a successful customer relationship that results in high lifetime value (LTV)
  • High empathy and an ability to easily navigate challenging customer interactions
  • Proven ability to navigate longer high potential sales cycles
  • Experience in business development, with a track record of building and expanding customer relationships
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously with high attention to detail, showing a proactive approach to driving business growth

Responsibilities

  • Working with both inbound and outbound leads
  • Properly researching and cataloging contact, account, and opportunity information
  • Expanding relationships with prospects and current agencies, allowing them to understand the full advantages of our products and solutions
  • Working with Sales Development Reps, Partner Wranglers, Engineers, Product Management, and other teams focused on the sales cycle to ensure that both the clientโ€™s and Companyโ€™s requirements are met
  • Using effective sales techniques to uncover customer needs that can be addressed through our solutions
  • Articulating the benefits of using our solutions to prospective agencies across industries
  • Onboarding new agencies and troubleshooting the onboarding process
  • Providing initial education and training for small, to medium, agencies
  • Preparing a quality handoff for large agencies to a Partner Manager to enable long-term success
