Remote Senior Director, Billing

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in healthcare administration, finance, business, or a related field
• Minimum of 7 years of experience in healthcare billing, with at least 3 years in a leadership role
• Strong analytical skills, excellent communication and leadership abilities, and a deep understanding of healthcare billing processes and regulations
• Proficiency in billing software and EHRs

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the billing department, including billing team members, to ensure timely and accurate billing
• Develop and implement policies and procedures to streamline billing processes, enhance efficiency, and reduce errors
• Oversee the entire revenue cycle, from benefit authorization to payment collection, ensuring optimal cash flow
• Produce, maintain and deliver regular reports that demonstrate billing performance across all areas (charges, payments, denials, efficiency, performance against SLAs)
• Establish and monitor key performance indicators to assess the effectiveness of billing operations and identify areas for improvement
• Foster deep collaboration with finance / accounting, clinical, and operations teams to ensure a seamless billing process and address any issues promptly
• Develop strategies to improve the patient billing experience, including clear communication of billing policies and prompt resolution of inquiries
• Collaborate with Technology team to integrate and optimize billing workflow processes within existing technology applications
