Responsibilities

  • Lead the Agile Delivery team in a scaled agile environment, ensuring alignment with organizational objectives and driving successful project delivery
  • Collaborate with stakeholders, business leaders, and Product Owners to define program scope, goals, and deliverables, ensuring clear communication and understanding of program requirements
  • Develop and maintain the Agile Delivery roadmap, prioritizing initiatives and allocating resources effectively to optimize program outcomes
  • Influence the adoption of scaled agile methodologies and practices across the organization, promoting a culture of continuous improvement and innovation at the program level
  • Possesses competency to serve as Release Train Engineer (RTE), coordinating and facilitating the execution of value stream deliverables and achieving program objectives
  • Facilitate program-level ceremonies and events (e.g., Discovery Team sync, Scrum of Scrums, System-level demos and reviews), promoting collaboration, coordination, and alignment among discovery teams and agile teams
  • Analyze program-level data and metrics to identify trends, patterns, and areas for improvement, and provide recommendations to optimize program delivery and outcomes
  • Manage and lead a team of Scrum Masters, providing guidance, mentorship, and support for their growth, career development, and overall success, including performance evaluations, goal setting, talent acquisition, and fostering a culture of continuous learning
  • Assist direct reports with setting ROCKS by evaluating the long-term goals of the business and breaking them down into short-term tasks
  • Act as a liaison between Agile Delivery teams, stakeholders, and senior management, ensuring effective communication, managing expectations, and addressing discovery team-level concerns or conflicts in a timely and proactive manner
  • Facilitate program-level ceremonies and events (e.g., Discovery Team sync, Scrum of Scrums, System-level demos and reviews), promoting collaboration, coordination, and alignment among discovery teams and agile teams
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams and departments to streamline processes, optimize resource allocation, and drive organizational agility and efficiency at the program level
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends, emerging Agile practices, and technological advancements, incorporating relevant changes into the scaled agile approach and program management methodologies
  • Champion the adoption and integration of scaled agile principles and practices across the organization, advocating for Agile transformation and driving cultural change at the program/portfolio level

ULTRA MOBILE is seeking a talented Senior Manager, Scrum Delivery to join the Product & PMO Team! Individual reports to Director, Scrum Delivery. Role is remote - must reside in the United States.

Together, we will streamline team-level processes, optimize resource allocation, and foster a culture of innovation and collaboration. As a pivotal member of our scaled agile environment, you will guide the Agile Delivery team, ensuring clear communication and alignment with program requirements. Your role will involve developing and maintaining an exciting Agile Delivery roadmap, influencing the adoption of scaled agile methodologies, and analyzing program-level data to uncover trends and drive continuous improvement. Your usual day of awesomeness includes:

WHAT YOU BRING

  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field or equivalent work experience.
  • Relevant experience: A minimum of 8 years of experience in Agile project management or Agile delivery roles, preferably with experience in a scaled agile environment.
  • Scaled Agile knowledge: Strong understanding and practical application of scaled agile methodologies such as SAFe, LeSS, or Nexus.
  • Leadership skills: Proven ability to lead and mentor Agile Delivery teams, fostering collaboration, alignment, and continuous improvement.
  • Stakeholder management: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively engage and influence stakeholders at various levels of the organization.
  • Metrics-driven mindset: Experience in utilizing metrics and data to drive program-level insights and decision-making, enabling continuous improvement and optimizing program delivery.
  • Agile certifications: Possession of relevant Agile certifications such as Certified Scrum Master (CSM), Certified Scrum Product Owner (CSPO), or SAFe certifications (SA, SSM, SASM) would be advantageous.
  • Adaptability and flexibility: Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and dynamic environment, adapting to changing priorities, and effectively managing ambiguity.
  • Problem-solving skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a track record of successfully resolving complex issues and overcoming challenges in Agile delivery contexts.
  • Continuous learning: Demonstrated commitment to staying updated with the latest Agile practices, methodologies, and industry trends through continuous learning and professional development.
  • Possess relevant agile and project management certifications. (CSM, A-CSM, PSPO, Scaled Agile, SAFe, and/or LesS).
  • Excellent verbal and written communication.
  • Great skills and knowledge of servant leadership, facilitation, situational awareness, conflict resolution, continual improvement, empowerment, and increasing transparency.
  • A sense of ownership and pride in your performance and its impact on the company’s success.
  • Must work effectively with cross-functional teams to align strategies, activities, and timing.

In support of the Equal Pay for Equal Work Act, the range of starting pay for this role is $155,000 - $170,000.  This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary, actual compensation is influenced by a wide range of factors including but not limited to skill set, level of experience, education, certifications, responsibility, and geographic location.  We also offer a variety of benefits including health, disability insurance, 401 (k), flexible spending accounts, EAP, education reimbursement, parental leave, unlimited vacation, bonuses, and company paid holidays.  The specific programs available will vary depending on state, start date, and employment type.
