Remote Senior Technical Writer

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Technical Communication, English, Computer Science, or equivalent field experience
• 5+ years of experience in technical writing, preferably for software or complex technical products
• Proficient in using authoring tools, content management systems (CMS), and documentation tools (experience with DITA is required)
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment, coordinating with cross-functional teams
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, emphasizing clarity and attention to detail
• Familiarity with software development methodologies and technical writing best practices
• Able to adapt to changing requirements and work autonomously with limited guidance
• Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking skills

Responsibilities

• Develop accurate and comprehensive technical documentation, including administration guides, deployment guides, and release notes
• Contribute to maintaining documentation standards, style guides, and templates to ensure consistency and quality in technical content
• Collaborate with software engineers, product managers, and UX designers to gather information and ensure that documentation reflects product updates and functional changes
• Review and edit documentation for clarity, coherence, grammar, and adherence to standards. Incorporate feedback and provide actionable comments to peers
• Manage and maintain content repositories, ensuring all content is up-to-date and reflects the latest product features and updates
• Assist in refining content development processes to improve workflow efficiency and documentation delivery
