Join Code.org as a Social Media Strategist & Community Manager to oversee and execute all social media efforts, develop and implement a strategy, manage content, plan campaigns, monitor performance, and engage with the community.
Requirements
- Minimum of 8 years of experience leading large online communities
- Proven track record managing cross-channel content calendars
- Ability to effectively collaborate with internal teams and external partners
- Proficiency in social media management and analytics tools
- Excellent written and verbal communication and strong presentation skills
Responsibilities
- Develop and manage a comprehensive social media strategy that formalizes specific roles, audiences, objectives, and content for each platform
- Manage 'always on' cross-channel content calendars that feature both original and curated content tailored to each audience and platform
- Collaborate with designers, copywriters, and other in-house content creators to produce engaging multimedia content
- Grow Code.org's online community by initiating conversations, responding to comments, escalating issues, and creating a positive environment for users
- Build and maintain partnerships with relevant organizations, influencers, and community groups to help expand reach and engagement
- Manage ongoing performance reporting that helps translate platform analytics into actionable insights and recommendations
- Regularly monitor social media trends, platform updates, audience shifts, or other ongoing developments to inform our strategies
- Develop social media playbooks, guidelines, policies, and best practices while conducting regular training sessions for the team
- Develop and execute strategies for promoting livestreams, webinars, workshops, or other live events, including pre-event promotion, live coverage, and post-event recaps
- Collaborate with advertising and PR leads to advise on social advertising, influencer relations, ambassador programs, and other potential opportunities to expand the community
