Requirements

  • Background in B2B SaaS with an understanding of a product-led growth approach
  • Strong understanding of B2B sales processes and ability to align event strategies with sales objectives
  • Proven track record in developing and managing event strategies, from intimate executive dinners to large-scale industry conferences
  • Demonstrated experience in developing and executing field marketing strategies that directly contribute to sales pipeline and revenue growth
  • Experience with marketing automation systems, CRMs, event registration platforms, and meeting apps
  • Are data-driven and can break down problems into smaller parts
  • Ability to travel up to 40% of the time for events
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; comfortable engaging with and leading senior executives and external stakeholders

Responsibilities

  • Partner with the VP Corporate Events in the planning and execution of Raintree’s trade show and events program including annual user conference in addition to other industry events
  • Develop and maintain a multi-year project plan for Raintree’s events, including identifying key markets and opportunities for expanding Raintree’s reach through targeted trade shows, meetings, and events
  • Contribute to creating and managing event budgets, including projecting attendance, revenues and expenses, and timely reporting of results
  • Direct all facets of the events process including planning and implementing timelines, contract negotiations, vendor management, expense monitoring and budgeting, on-site management, communications, and staff and participant coordination
  • Effectively scope and source events to include conducting site visits and recommend city and site venues
  • Strategize and collaborate with cross-functional teams to launch integrated event campaigns aimed at boosting client acquisition and engagement
  • Set and measure event objectives and success criteria, including budgeting, forecasting, ROI analysis, and work alongside the Growth Marketing team for accurate tracking and reporting
  • Regularly update executive leadership on event strategies, progress, and outcomes, acting as a primary point of contact between the events team and senior management, facilitating clear and effective communication
  • Build key relationships with the go-to-market teams by delivering (pre and post event) enablement materials and training to ensure we maximize investments
  • Build and nurture relationships with key customers, partners, industry influencers and senior leaders to engage them as speakers, sponsors and participants
  • Stay up-to-date on industry trends, research, and new technologies to develop events that advance Raintree’s position and deepen engagement with our priority audiences

Trade Show and Events Manager

Remote U.S. (designated states)

Department: Marketing

Reports to: VP, Corporate Events

This position is fully remote and may be performed from one of the following U.S. states: AL, AZ, FL, GA, IN, KS, MA, MI, MS, NC, NV, OR, PA, SC, TN, TX.

The Trade Show & Events Manager is responsible for helping to develop and execute a corporate events strategy that enables Raintree to build strong partner and customer relationships primarily focused on driving pipeline and revenue. They must be a creative thinker who thrives in a fast-paced environment, enjoys the challenge of leading and collaborating with team members at every level of the organization, and is determined to make a difference in a dynamic and rapidly growing organization.

We are seeking a highly skilled professional with well rounded experience in both event and exhibition management. The ideal candidate is a proactive leader, passionate about delivering seamless events while challenging the status quo and driving innovation in a fast-paced environment. We’re looking for a creative, intelligent, and empathetic relationship builder who excels at navigating high-pressure situations. The role requires flexibility, including frequent travel, with work often conducted in airports and on flights.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Partner with the VP Corporate Events in the planning and execution of Raintree’s trade show and events program including annual user conference in addition to other industry events.
