Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, finance, or related field required
  • 10+ years of experience in commercial or business information role, with a proven track record of leading large-scale change initiatives to health systems and provider organizations
  • Strong knowledge of commercial operations, including sales, marketing, pricing, and product management
  • Experience within Revenue Cycle Management (RCM) including mid to back-end RCM solutions
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with competing priorities
  • Must have strong computer proficiency and understand how to use office applications, including MS Office (PowerPoint, Word, Excel, Teams, Outlook), Zoom, and other Learning technology

Responsibilities

  • Spearhead the development and execution of a comprehensive commercial transformation strategy to drive sustainable growth and enhance competitive positioning
  • Identify growth opportunities through new markets, products, and revenue streams to expand the company’s footprint
  • Collaborate closely with senior leadership to ensure commercial objectives are aligned with the organization's broader strategic goals
  • Design and optimize commercial processes to enhance operational efficiency, drive effectiveness, and streamline workflows
  • Implement tools, systems, and technologies that support commercial optimization and support scalable growth initiatives
  • Measure and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) to evaluate the success of transformation initiatives and drive continuous improvement
  • Lead and execute the partner/connector program by identifying strategic partnerships, developing collaborative frameworks, and fostering relationships that expand market reach, drive joint revenue opportunities, and enhance the company’s value proposition through mutually beneficial alliances
  • Lead the cross-sell and upsell program by developing and executing strategies to maximize revenue from existing clients, collaborating with Sales, Marketing, and Product teams to identify opportunities, enhance customer value, and drive sustainable growth across the portfolio
  • Lead and execute key strategies to enhance client retention by analyzing customer needs, implementing tailored solutions, and collaborating with Client Engagement, Sales, and Operations teams to drive long-term loyalty, improve client satisfaction, and reduce churn
  • Lead commercial integration for M&A activity by developing and executing integration strategies that align sales, marketing, and client-facing functions, ensuring seamless transitions, maximizing revenue opportunities, and driving synergies between merging entities
  • Launch and oversee quick start campaigns designed to rapidly drive adoption of new products or services, collaborating with cross-functional teams to develop targeted messaging, promotional strategies, and performance metrics that accelerate market entry and revenue generation
  • Design and implement commercial processes and technology to standardize client proposal system, enhancing customer experience and improve forecasting

Position Summary

This newly established role reports to the Chief Commercial Officer and will play a pivotal part in our future expansion efforts by partnering closely with our Sales, Marketing, and Strategy teams. The VP, Commercial Optimization will develop and execute comprehensive commercial transformation strategies that ensure alignment across departments, focusing on optimizing sales processes, improving market penetration, and enhancing revenue performance. By designing initiatives that support long-term business goals, this leader will be instrumental in driving sustainable sales growth and creating synergy across all functional areas.

Key Responsibilities

  • Spearhead the development and execution of a comprehensive commercial transformation strategy to drive sustainable growth and enhance competitive positioning.
  • Identify growth opportunities through new markets, products, and revenue streams to expand the company’s footprint.
  • Collaborate closely with senior leadership to ensure commercial objectives are aligned with the organization’s broader strategic goals
  • Design and optimize commercial processes to enhance operational efficiency, drive effectiveness, and streamline workflows.
  • Implement tools, systems, and technologies that support commercial optimization and support scalable growth initiatives.
  • Measure and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) to evaluate the success of transformation initiatives and drive continuous improvement.

Requirements and Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, finance, or related field required. MBA or related advanced degree preferred.
  • 10+ years of experience in commercial or business information role, with a proven track record of leading large-scale change initiatives to health systems and provider organizations.
  • Strong knowledge of commercial operations, including sales, marketing, pricing, and product management.
  • Experience within Revenue Cycle Management (RCM) including mid to back-end RCM solutions.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with competing priorities.
  • Experience with a rapidly scaling technology/services business is a plus
  • Equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered.
  • Must have strong computer proficiency and understand how to use office applications, including MS Office (PowerPoint, Word, Excel, Teams, Outlook), Zoom, and other Learning technology.
