As a Senior Director of Client Development, you will lead our client service and media teams, design and evolve our client service offering, and drive growth through strategic partnerships.
Requirements
- 10+ years of holistic media experience, including seven years of digital media, account management, and/or campaign-related experience, with 5+ years of experience in people leadership – preferably in adtech/martech ecosystem
- You have a proven ability to coach, mentor, train, and grow talent. You have a history of building smart, effective and successful teams
- You have a history of building strong client relationships and delivering excellent client service resulting in increased revenue and client growth, consistently achieving and surpassing revenue goals
- You have a solid grasp of holistic marketing, programmatic and/or digital media, including search, display, mobile, video, and retail and continually keep up on trends in the industry
- You can design a compelling and differentiated value proposition rooted in adtech and primarily programmatic solutions to deliver value for clients
- You have strong financial acumen, including revenue responsibility and P&L experience, strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, solid written and verbal communication skills, and advanced Excel skills
- You have a selfless, roll-up-sleeves attitude with both your own department and peers in other departments
Responsibilities
- Lead the Client Service and media teams supporting our fast growing enterprise relationships and self-service offering at Goodway
- Continue to design & evolve our client service offering across both Media and CX in a way that scales and keeps us above our profit goals
- Evaluate and ensure an industry leading, but scalable client experience. Lead team in investing in the right client relationships, proactively identifying growth opportunities, bringing new innovation to our clients as we help power our agency and brand partners to build leading in house programmatic operations
- Understand and be able to lead discussions around customer journey mapping, capturing, maximizing and extracting value from 1st party data, and selecting the right MarTech platforms to enable more effective media activation with senior marketers
- Communicate with our clients at the right frequency, and with an understanding of the success metrics that drive meaningful business results, with an understanding of performance marketing and direct response KPI’s
- Partner tightly with key stakeholders to continuously evaluate the suite of services Goodway must have in order to compete for and win business, communicating and recommending these to internal stakeholders
- Identify, design and launching new strategic partnerships that enable growth within the Reseller division as well as other components of Goodway Group
- Partner with Marketing and VP of Growth to help be a key “voice” of our Goodway reseller team and suite of solutions across the digital marketing space, highlighting our value proposition in the industry
- Produce well-researched, compelling knowledge/thought leadership pieces that engage both current and prospective clients and build our presence in market. Serve as company spokesperson at key industry events
- Support team with leading client meetings, acting as a main thought partner and voice across the organization to prioritize and develop new solutions, services we can bring to our clients profitably
- Senior sponsor on strategic, senior-level relationships with agency partners and brand clients where needed. Drive and/or enable team to deliver strategically sound recommendations and value-add ideas in support of their business
- Prioritize key industry relationships including with The Trade Desk, Walmart and a growing list of key Goodway channel partners. Key components include prioritizing joint product roadmap, delivering against partner expectations and unlocking opportunities for Goodway to grow and differentiate through these key partnerships
- Develop a network of key, strategic relationships, specifically within the marketing leadership ecosystem. Drive awareness of Goodway and our capabilities to extend our reach in the market
- Maintain a strong understanding of changes in our clients’ industries and how their needs are evolving. Bring back and be the voice of the client to our internal teams
- Identify solutions to deliver against existing gaps on the client’s behalf against Goodway's competition and take action to provide thoughtful solutions
- Partner cross functionally at Goodway to build awareness for our team and find opportunities for collaboration (including marketing, Goodway agency team, business development, investment and product)
- Lead and/or contribute to major cross-functional initiatives. Serve as a liaison between your function and other functions to solve business challenges and contribute to process improvement
- Collaborate with internal teams to leverage data and analytics and to design and deliver compelling pitches that speak directly to the client's core business issues
- Ensure understand fuller Goodway Group offering to identify opportunities for cross brand collaboration and upsell opportunities across the group (I.E – GCOMM, CVE, Tuff)
- Manage and lead a best-in-class cross functional team dedicated to growing and servicing a roster of key brand and agency clients. Coach and develop both account directors and more junior employees to be consultative and effective advisors to our clients
- Provide day-to-day, ongoing leadership, including feedback, team alignment, and org development to set our business up to scale
- Champion your direct reports’ career growth and identify development opportunities to help them grow
- Increase teams’ skills and knowledge, enabling them to expand connections across the industry and continue to bring new solutions to our clients
- Responsible and accountable for “Reseller line of business” meeting and exceeding revenue goals while maintaining financial health (I.E - contribution margin)
- Oversees the ongoing organic forecasting process and submitting headcount approval to properly service and scale business
- Develop new revenue streams through products, services and partnerships to increase profitability
- Help Goodway unlock differentiation through key channel partners and leads that may benefit reseller or Goodway Group (I.E – Trade Desk, Walmart and future partners)
