Requirements

  • 12+ years of relevant experience in product management and/or product marketing
  • Management and mentoring of professionals at all levels – proven experience developing talent, guiding and mentoring people in a way that encourages them to acquire new skills
  • Research Skills – You have a demonstrated ability to conduct research from a wide variety of primary and secondary sources, and in the process, develop a compelling thesis on the future performance of a target industry, commodity, or company
  • Business Acumen – You have a strong ability to evaluate and quantify opportunities and you understand how SaaS businesses are measured and how product influences those metrics
  • Financial modeling – solid experience building financial models (project financing, corporate finance)
  • Data driven, intellectual curiosity – predisposition to explore and learn, acquire data, create and test hypotheses in different verticals across different industries
  • Organization skills – ability to prioritize, share information efficiently, meet deadlines and deliver in a multi-project, fast-paced environment with changing priorities and multiple parallel assignments
  • Creativity / Entrepreneurship – ability to resolve new challenges, tackle new assignments without necessarily the benefit of ready-made templates
  • Analytical – ability to distill key information from extensive research; ability to argue, summarize and illustrate analyses in a presentation format; ability to make the complex, simple
  • Experience crafting executive briefings for senior leaders
  • Collaborative approach – collaborative and team oriented with strong leadership
  • Disciplined, attention to detail – appreciation of detail in solving puzzles and presenting information
  • Inquisitive, problem-solving mindset

Responsibilities

  • Provide leadership, direction, and mentorship for direct and indirect reports under your remit
  • Understand beneficiary jobs to be done, align features to unmet or underserved needs and create a roadmap that captures quantifiable market value
  • Work with the team to develop a deep understanding of the customer, the world they live in and their challenges - translating this knowledge into actionable product strategy
  • Ownership and accountability around the product development lifecycle from ideation, prioritization, definition of requirements, design and validation
  • Own strategy decisions around assigned products and contribute to strategic decisions around new markets
  • Assess new market opportunities and make recommendations for viability based on market readiness and our own ability to capture them
  • Participate in the assessment of potential acquisitions for product/market fit and ultimate value to Axonify
  • Build strong cross-functional relationships with all other leaders and teams at Axonify
  • Maintain executive relationships with key accounts as appropriate and develop an in-depth understanding of the relationship between product, price, packaging and customer retention for assigned product areas
  • Understand buying cycles and behaviors and develop in-depth understanding of relationship between product, price, packaging and sales from both a new logos and upsell perspective
  • Evolve product usage metrics strategy and ensure metrics are communicated and understood by all internal stakeholders
  • Manage and evaluate external accounts through performance tracking and relationship cultivation in an effort to grow each account’s business
  • Work closely with product marketing to help formulate market positioning of products and packages
  • Work with GTM teams and cross-functional leadership to ensure we take new product and features to market to maximum effect and benefit to our customers
