Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of experience in a Medical Assistant or Medical Secretary role, preferably in a virtual healthcare environment
- Strong organizational and scheduling capabilities
- Experience in managing medical records and insurance documentation
- Familiarity with electronic medical record systems
- Proficient understanding of medical terminology and processes
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal abilities
- Detail-oriented with effective organizational habits
- Own Desktop/Laptop
- Computer Processor: Intel I3/AMD Ryzen 3/MAC Intel I5
- RAM: A minimum of 4GB (8GB recommended) with adequate hard disk space
- Internet: A stable wired connection of at least 20-25 Mbps
- Backup Options: Ensure you have USB sticks, hotspots, or other wireless connections for contingency
- Required Peripherals: Noise-canceling headset
Responsibilities
- Assist healthcare providers during patient examinations and procedures
- Document patient interviews and maintain medical histories
- Obtain vital signs and relevant health information
- Prepare and manage cleanliness in examination rooms
- Administer medications and injections per healthcare provider directions
- Manage patient referrals and ensure follow-up
- Update and maintain electronic medical records effectively
- Educate and support patients with their healthcare needs
- Coordinate with the healthcare team to ensure exceptional patient care
- Handle administrative tasks to maintain efficient office operations
- Provide basic front-office support including answering phones and responding to inquiries
- Maintain an organized filing system for both electronic and physical records
- Assist with report preparation and operational tasks
- Support project coordination through tracking progress and deadlines
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with calendar management and related software is advantageous
- Immediate availability or within 2 weeks is preferred
- Knowledge of Personal Injury and Radiology practices is a plus
