Summary

Requirements
- Demonstrate strong knowledge of SQL
- Knowledge of SQL Management Studio
- Knowledge of modern relational databases and best practices
- Ability to gather appropriate criteria from internal and external clients
- Ability to and understand existing code, test, validate and document in prescribed structure
- Skill in documenting activities on SQL development projects
- Ability to plan resource requirements from high level specifications
- Skill in analysing data and troubleshooting common database issues
- Demonstrate strong knowledge of SSRS / DevExpress Reports
- Organizational skills with the ability to take direction, prioritize tasks, and to work independently with minimum supervision
- Ability to read, comprehend, and interpret complex information
- Must have ability to maintain confidentiality, and exhibit sound judgment and emotional stability
- Effective written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills in the English language
- Ability to interact well with various levels of staff
- Skilled in computer literacy with strong working knowledge of Outlook and Microsoft Office programs (i.e. Word, Excel)
Responsibilities
- Responsible for the management of the Report Engineering Development team and ensuring development best practices are implemented
- Ensures customer excellence
- Builds and maintains strong relationships with customer base
- Lives the company’s values and service standards with regards to customer interaction
- Adheres to business processes and systems to meet the company’s quality requirements
- Takes personal accountability for service excellence
- Adheres to the companies’ work standards
- Understand their role within the organisation from an information security perspective and commit to protecting the organisation’s security information assets
- Ensures Cost savings and efficiencies in area of accountability
- Update job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading professional publications; maintaining personal networks; participating in professional organizations
- Prepare personal development plans in conjunction with Manager and implement in line with business requirements
- Ensures teamwork to achieve shared goals
- Strong communication skills
- Good interpersonal and leadership skills to understand and lead team
- Responsible for overseeing and participating in the development of customized reports from databases to extract and collect data according to PaySpace requirements as well as building and repairing data reports and software applications
- Responsible for driving the latest best practices and technologies for reporting and analytics into the business
- Responsible for implementing DevExpress / SSRS reporting and preparing the way and upskilling the team in moving away from SSRS reports toward DevExpress or something similar within the NextGen application
- General coding, innovative design and unit testing of the various elements that make up the PaySpace application. Serves as an integral member of a close-knit Agile Scrum team. Works with the team to understand and resolve software problems and responds to suggestions for software modifications or enhancements
- Strong problem-solving skills
- Responsible for working with the Business, HOD’s, Product Owners and Technical Management to ensure that work taken on to Sprints is clearly understood and accurately estimated and that there is clear communication as early as possible where work will not be done in line with business expectations
